Like mother like daughter
Carolien looks a lot like her mother. Carolien's mother Ria is just as crazy about fashion and interior as she is. They often visit flea markets and thrift stores together for vintage items. "I'm such a vintage lover because of her," says Carolien. She shares all her home inspiration on her own blog (binnenhuisinspiratie.blog) and Instagram account (@carolien_manning). “I really enjoy inspiring people, as well as getting inspired myself. Partly as a result of winning the VTWonen spring house in 2015, my love for interior design has only increased”. The latter was confirmation of just how much I love doing it," says Carolien.

Carolien is the proud owner of three IXXIs. And they all have something in common, namely her love for graphic designs! The first is in the living room. It is an abstract design by Mareike Böhmer. "Various colours in this IXXI can also be found in the rest of the home". In the nursery you'll find the second, where the illustrated tigers from Creative Lab is the eye-catcher. And finally the women's portrait by designer Ruben Ireland. “The IXXIs really making a statement. And the great thing is that I can change the images really easily. All I have to do replace the cards and I'm done!"
