About IXXI
What is IXXI? Customisable wall art
IXXI is a brand that makes systems which turn photographs and artworks into customisable wall decoration — made to last a lifetime, not one interior.

How it works
Original®
Cards you click together
Separate cards join into one piece with X- and I-connectors, at whatever size the wall asks for.
Change what hangs, not what holds it
The system stays, the art changes. Swap a single card, turn it over for the design on its back, or click in a whole new artwork.
It grows with your wall
Add cards, take rows away, move the piece to another room. The size you start at is never the size you are left with.
The other way
Art Frame®
Fabric in a frame
Fine-art fabric held taut in a slim, modern aluminium frame. The museum look, without a museum between you and the work.
Swap the fabric, keep the frame
The frame stays on the wall. A new artwork means a new Swappable Print, not a new piece of furniture.
Five sizes, already chosen
No measuring. Five formats that suit an ordinary wall, so the decision is which artwork rather than how large.
What drives us
Our mission
The #1 platform for customisable wall decoration.
IXXI turns photographs and artworks into customisable wall decoration, a modern alternative to posters and traditional wall art. Since 2010 our system has let you rearrange your walls as often as you like.
Our vision
A world where everyone can shape the space they live in.
We believe creativity is in everyone. Art and technology both feed it: craft gives a piece meaning and character, technology puts making within reach. IXXI is here to inspire people and to give them what they need to make something of their own — whether or not they would ever call themselves creative.

Why choose IXXI
About IXXI and its systems
What IXXI is
IXXI is a Dutch design brand that has been making systems for customisable wall art since 2010. An IXXI is not one fixed panel: it is a set of separate parts you put together yourself — and take apart again later. What hangs on the wall keeps pace with the room, instead of being settled on the day it went up.
Two styles: IXXI Original® and IXXI Art Frame®
IXXI Original® is built from cards of 10x10 or 20x20 cm, clicked together with X- and I-connectors at whatever size the wall asks for: hung without drilling, and extended later with more cards. Designs from the collection are printed on both sides, so a single card carries two images. IXXI Art Frame® is fine-art fabric in a slim aluminium frame, in five chosen sizes: you swap the Swappable Print, and the frame stays on the wall.
Art or your own photos on the wall
What goes in it is yours to choose: over 5,000 designs from the collection — under licence from museums such as the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, from brands and from artists around the world — or your own photographs. Everything is made to order in the Netherlands, on premium material that is tear-proof and recyclable. When you want something else on the wall, you change the image rather than the system.
